Sliding-scale pricing provides multiple price points based on fund and exchange accessibility per each client’s financial situation. The goal is to reduce financial barriers for people with different levels of income, and to support a tradition of the possibility of paying forward services from donations for no-to-low cost for those who need it. It is a model rooted in mutual aid, justice, and abolition, taking into account the historical and current economic disadvantages faced especially by us affected by the majority of us affected by legislative oppression, especially Black and brown individuals and individuals with disabilities, though not decided directly upon identity (price points are determined based on how much an individual is able to meet their basic needs).
This practice uses Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s Green Bottle model, which may help determine where one falls in financing services. One can choose the price point that reflects one’s access to resources best, as well as negotiate barters and service trades. This information is available upon request, receipted, and can be determined via a brief consultation. No one is turned away for lack of funds for offerings such as Emotional Hurricane Rapid Support, breath training, and resource matching, which also may be requested during a Chemistry Call.
In addition, rates for universities and other complex institutions reflect j. nyla’s reparative asks as a Black and pinxy person whose Black and Filipina ancestors were held to serving elite and owning people for little to no compensation, only 1 through 5 generations ago, without consent.

Service prices vary between $45-$250/hr and are established during a brief Chemistry Call, contract development, and/or written budget proposals and MOU’s. Due to the large size of the pricing matrix in the sliding scale model, they are not displayed on the website, but are available to view during our call or upon request.

j. nyla gracefully offered me services that go far outside of the normative neoliberal/capitalistic wellness framework, connecting to the roots of authentic social connection and community grounded healing modalities. What I've appreciated most from working with them is how they have been able to inspire and push me outside of my comfort zone, defined by my limitations of shame, so to grow, heal and develop my own praxis and practices that bring fulfillment to my heart and soul.

I really enjoyed my reading with mx. j. nyla. My favorite part of the reading how they brought all the cards together to tell a very clear and succinct story in terms of what i'm navigating right now. I also really appreciated the more practical tips and tools they recommended, as that was a big reason for me getting this reading. Thank you so much!

We at times liken j. nyla to mycelium: simultaneously decomposing that which is ready to transform, healing that which is otherwise toxic and destructive, and weaving those around them into a diverse, powerful, and connected community of beings.

j. nyla's activism demonstrates their ability to be original and take initiative. Their awards and accolades thus far are impressive—but these awards come out of the incredible community impact—from the individual to the systems level—they have had locally and across the country; they do not do the work for the awards or for the attention, but because they know that the work they are doing will impact millions of people’s lives.

All By Design: Science & Healing & Action
My earliest experiences with health disparities research revealed that many challenges LGBTQIA+, Black, brown, and neurodivergent communities face are by design, and preventable.
From a young age, all I ever wanted was to create and help people. This deep-seated drive led me to uncover the historical legacies of design that shaped the divisions within my communities — and influenced who had access to clean air, fresh produce, green spaces, and other resources. What I found was alarming: the disparities we face are not accidental; they are by design. As I immersed myself in health disparities research, I realized that many of the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+, Black, brown, and neurodivergent communities are not only preventable, but also repairable.
The research was clear: solutions for healing and reparations could—and must—be designed by us, for us. These solutions—rooted in pride, community, and solidarity—include peer-to-peer coaching, community-based care, the healing arts, education, and creative expression. Through these channels, and through my own journey of radical healing, I found pathways out of unconscious patterns and the broken systems that trap us.
My commitment to transforming these systems came with the support of community; I was able to crowdfund everything I needed to create and learn within my own DIY PhD, building upon my foundation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This empowerment gave me the strength to push beyond the limits of traditional graduate career paths, reinvigorating my purpose.
Today, I coach, consult, and guide individuals toward reclaiming their power, their medicine, and their ancestral rites. For those whose visions align with the collective liberation of all—free from hyper-consumption, addiction, disconnection from nature, and systems of dependency—I hold space for your growth. I offer support for your personal and professional transformation, embracing the growing pains and developmental challenges that come with mapping your own path. I am here to disrupt, challenging business as usual with purposeful ways forward.
